Authentic Campaigning Matters
Throughout this campaign, VAHPA Pulse has committed to doing something simple: being authentic.
VAHPA Pulse believes members deserve honesty about who is involved, who is doing the work, and whose voices are being represented in our campaign.
We want to be visible and real, because we are.
That’s why our campaign has focused on:
real conversations with members
real workplace discussions
developing real member networks and communication channels to provide members with support, no matter where they live and work.
real stories from people who have chosen to support our vision for a stronger, transparent more democratic, member driven union.
organising local workplace rallies and picket lines
using the time, creativity, skills and knowledge of our members to create authentic campaign content
When VAHPA Pulse shares photos, videos, endorsements from members, logos, graphics on campaign materials, we believe they should reflect genuine participation and consent to use in our campaign content.
Members can trust that the people featured have chosen to be involved and support the campiagn as it’s presented to members.
Authentic campaigning isn’t just about election materials, it reflects the kind of union culture we want to build. One based on transparency, accountability, and respect for members.
VAHPA Pulse isn’t running a campaign built around an individual.
We are running a campaign built by members who want a stronger voice and to be heard by their union. They want a greater say in its future.
As the ballot opens from July 28th- August 25th, we encourage members to look beyond the tokenistic pop ups at rallies that members have worked hard to organise and ask a simple question:
Does this campaign reflect the kind of union culture I want to see after the election is over?
For us, the answer is straightforward.
We believe in honesty. We believe in transparency. We believe in member-led representation.
We believe that the values shown during a campaign should be the same values that guide our union after the election.
Vote VAHPA Pulse, for a fresh and energetic future where all members have a voice.
Vote VAHPA Pulse above the line.
